Update: The Lung Cancer Foundation SF 5k

The Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation's San Francisco 5k fundraiser took place on Sunday, September 29 in its new location at Lake Merced.  It was a gorgeous afternoon and the crowd was fired up, having raised over $300,000 for lung cancer research, patient empowerment and awareness efforts.

The League of Women Voters of San Francisco was proud to honor Bonnie as one of 2013's "Women Who Could Be President." If you missed her and fellow lung cancer survivor Emily Bennet Taylor on the Steve Harvey show this month, check out these clips now!

TAKE ACTION: Urge the Governor to Sign SB 3

Have you responded yet to this action alert from LWV California?

Tell Governor Brown to sign SB 3 to help voters follow the money in politics!

SB 3 is on the Governor’s desk. This important bill takes the first step toward a new online campaign disclosure system and requires online training for campaign committee treasurers. It will help preserve the integrity of the election process by letting the sunlight shine in. Please call the Governor and ask him to sign SB 3!

Taking action is easy!

  1. Call the Governor’s office at (916) 445-2841.
  2. Give your name and city.
  3. Say that you’re calling to ask Governor Brown to sign SB 3 to improve transparency in campaigns. Californians need to be able to follow the money and cast informed votes at the polls.

If you’d prefer, you can send an email to the Governor.
